Founder
Teddy Muthusi is one of East Africa’s most accomplished creative minds—a multi-award-winning Creative Director, strategic brand consultant, media personality, and the founder of Yaani Creative, a culturally rooted creative agency. With over 20 years of experience, Teddy has helped shape the voice of iconic brands such as Safaricom, KCB Bank, Kenya Breweries Limited, Premier Bank, and several EU-backed public education campaigns.
Currently serving as Head of Creative at Capital FM Kenya, Teddy leads the station’s integrated creative strategy, blending radio, digital, and experiential content to deliver bold, resonant campaigns. From launching national behavioral change movements like #TandikaLeso to producing satirical brand commentary on his digital series #TeddyMuthusiLive, his work reflects a deep understanding of local insight and a commitment to transformative storytelling.
Teddy’s leadership has been recognized by the Cannes Lions Creative Leaders Program, Kalasha Awards, and the Marketing Society of Kenya. He also serves as a regional juror for top advertising festivals and is passionate about mentoring the next generation of African creatives.
Teddy holds a BA in International Relations from USIU-Africa, is Google-certified in Digital Communications, and an alumnus of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership.
